Safety - When in doubt, Don't go Out
Safety must be observed when on the water under all condtions. If a canoe capsizes, there are specific safety procedures that must be followed. Each canoe type has specific safety information to help keep your crew safe. Please read safety policies specific to the canoe you paddle.
For the Gibsons area it is important to take into account both Georgia Strait and Howe Sound forcasts. Halibut Bank also provides wave height and current sea temperature. Weather reports are also available for the Porpoise Bay area.
